Brief Bio
Joaquim B L Filipe is currently a Coordinator Professor of the School of Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (EST-Setúbal), Portugal. He got his Ph.D. at the School of Computing of the Staffordshire University, U.K, in 2000. His main areas of research involve Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent System theory and applications to different domains, with an emphasis on social issues in activity coordination, especially in organizational modeling and simulation, where he has been actively involved in several R&D projects, including national and international progr ms. He represented EST-Setúbal in several European projects. He has over 100 publications including papers in conferences and journals, edited books and conference proceedings. He started several conference series, sponsored by INSTICC and technically co-sponsored or in cooperation with major International Associations. Brief Bio
Jan L.G. Dietz is emeritus full professor in Information Systems Design at Delft University of Technology, full professor in Enterprise Engineering at Delft University of Technology, and director of Sapio (www.sapio.nl). He holds a Master degree in Electrical Engineering and a Doctoral degree in Computer Science. He has published over 200 scientific and professional articles and books. His current research interests are in the emerging discipline of Enterprise Engineering, of which Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Ontology, and Enterprise Governance are the major pillars. Before h s academic career, he has practiced application software engineering for ten years in industry. Jan Dietz is the spiritual father of DEMO (Design & Engineering Methodology for Organizations), and honorary chairman of the Enterprise Engineering Institute (www.ee-institute.com). For the development of Enterprise Engineering, he chairs the international research network CIAO! (www.ciaonetwork.org). Brief Bio
Jorge Bernardino received the PhD degree in computer science from the University of Coimbra in 2002. He is a Coordinator Professor at ISEC (Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra) of the Polytechnic of Coimbra, Portugal. His main research fields are big data, data warehousing, business intelligence, open source tools, and software engineering, subjects in which he has authored or co-authored dozens of papers in refereed conferences and journals. Jorge Bernardino has served on program committees of many conferences and acted as referee for many international conferences and journ ls. He was President of ISEC from 2005–2010.
